Industrial robots find application in tasks such as repairing, welding, painting, grouping, allocating, product inspection and testing. Vehicle and manufacturing industries use these appliances to design auto parts, gather equipment and scrutinize manufactured parts. Industrial robots are substituted for manpower in perilous jobs, which require carrying out hazardous and unsafe tasks.
Robotic process automation has the potential to spark the next industrial revolution. Bots have been designed that can write literature and compose original music. They are so good at these seemingly ‘creative’ endeavours that humans cannot distinguish between music created by a software program and that by a human composer. Extrapolating from this, smart bots have also found application in developing computer programs and writing code.
There was an interesting talk given by Regina Dugan of DARPA on December 14, 2011 for the engineering students and social studies students at MIT titled; ”Just Make It” which of course is a ”take-off” literally on the Nike Brand theme; Just Do It! – in this talk she mentions an aircraft manufacturing company which works without assembly lines and has been able to increase time to build from start to finish by a factor of 2. Each aircraft stays put, the folks working on it move. Okay so, that makes sense, and Rolls Royce and other high-end auto manufacturers use similar techniques, as to many of the hand-crafted high-end specialty cars.
Traders found out that these robots offer a lot of convenience since they do not have to be hooked with their personal computers. The robot will do their betting letting the traders to become richer. Installing the software is so easy and its operation so simple.
Another most important use of the cameras and sensors is to decide the position of the components and separately assembled as they move forward in the manufacturing line. Generally the vision system is not very complicated and complex the system can be used in manufacturing with very short training and education of personnel. ,
