In most countries, especially in the developing nations, there are some hidden costs that a foreign investor comes to find about once he has already established his company. For instance, in Asia and Africa it is commonplace for investors to bribe, give kickbacks or even pay protection fee to facilitate services and shield their investments. This normally pushes operating costs up thus making offshore manufacturing unviable.
Even more critical, other costs like training costs especially in countries where there is inadequate skilled manpower will force the manufacture to invest in staff training and this will make offshore manufacturing unviable. Also because of competition and the supposedly cheaper labor may make it harder for the foreign investor to retain the workers he has invested heavily to train. This may result in a higher turnover of employees hence straining the operating finances.
For companies to succeed, along with trying to create a fully employed economy, the biggest factor is cost efficiency. More and more companies rely on the cheapest alternative to produce outputs, in hopes of earning profits. Boston Consulting Group reports that it costs roughly $8 an hour to use a robot for spot welding in the auto industry, compared to $25 for a worker.
It might be entirely possible to collect a good deal of this energy which is deflected during that laser cutting process, or which finds its way through to the other side. What if we tried this strategy to recapture some of that energy; what if we had a ”houseplant pot shaped device” on the other side of the material being cut, and what if we had several of these types of shaped objects surrounding the CO2 laser beam? Those recapturing apparatuses surrounding the laser beam would be set in a concave pattern.
Industrial robots are commonly used to locate ships, control and clean nuclear waste, to discover and study underwater mineral deposits, and for volcanic examination.
